Portadown News

By fmbooksonline

The Faith Mission Bookshop in Portadown, just this week picked up a short listing and 3rd place award at the annual Christian Booksellers Convention (CBC). The short listing and 3rd place came in the Large retailer of the year award which takes in almost 400 shops across the UK.  To get noticed in such a large category is a superb achievement for the relatively new shop.  Much of the current success of the shop is down to last Septembers move to a brand new premises in Portadown, the hard work of manager Jim Mckee and his staff and the addition of a Coffee Shop to the premises. The new bright and open layout is both welcoming and relaxed, and is attracting people who never knew there was a Christian bookshop in town. All of this has developed during the current difficult economic climate but amazingly the shop has experienced more customers and higher turnover than ever. The recognition by the trade at CBC is the icing on the cake.

Faith Mission Bookshops also launched a new online shop in April, it becomes our 20th shop in UK & Ireland & currently our Ballymena shop is undergoing major refurbishment which should see it emulate the success of the Portadown shop. People are coming from all over Ireland to see the shop, why not drop in and see for yourself.
